What fills a Friday night at One Loudoun once the market tents are gone?
The Moonlight Market has its last Friday this week, on October 30. It has run at One Loudoun every week since August 14, from 5 to 9 p.m., with the map pin at 20387 Exchange Street. That makes twelve Fridays of local makers set up in the open air. During those same twelve weeks, Ashburn picked up a set of storefronts that post hours for every week of the year. Line them up against what the market offered and they cover nearly every slot it filled. Friday dinner, browsing local shops, and a sweet stop on a Saturday morning now have permanent addresses, and none of them depends on the weather.
The last outdoor weekend, in order
Three events close out the season, and they're spaced so you can get to all of them.
- Friday, October 30, 5 to 9 p.m. The final Moonlight Market at One Loudoun. The listing calls it the Maker's Valley Friday Market.
- Friday, October 30, 7 to 9:30 p.m. Movie Night on the Green at Brambleton Town Center, according to the Brambleton community calendar.
- Saturday, October 31, through Sunday, November 1. Asia In a Bite returns to One Loudoun. It's a free outdoor food festival with 40 food vendors, more than 10 merchandise vendors and a live DJ. The listing gives an 11 a.m. start on Saturday. Sunday's posted window ends at noon, so if you plan to go on Sunday, check the organizer's current hours first.
The event page's web address still carries an older mid-October date, but the schedule on the page says October 31 to November 1. Asia In a Bite is the last item on One Loudoun's posted calendar. Once it wraps up Sunday, the outdoor season is over.
Friday night moves indoors at One Loudoun
Friday evening is the slot the market held most firmly, and it's also the slot that changed most this fall.
bartaco started a soft opening at One Loudoun in late September. The Burn reported on September 24 that it was serving dinner only at first, with lunch expected the following week. Its One Loudoun directory listing now puts it at 44695 Uptown Row Drive. Posted hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
The market ended at 9 p.m., and bartaco's posted Friday hours run three hours past that. A Friday plan that used to depend on a forecast and an end date now has a kitchen at One Loudoun that stays open until midnight.
The maker shopping stays on Exchange Street
People also came to the Moonlight Market to browse small, local sellers. That part of the market has a storefront now too, on the same street.
Monkee's of Loudoun, which One Loudoun describes as a locally woman-owned boutique, is listed at 20366 Exchange Street. The Burn reported in late September that the shop planned to open Thursday, October 15, with a celebration running through October 18. The grand-opening event listing gives 20626 Easthampton Plaza as the venue. The storefront itself is on Exchange Street.
Its directory hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. That covers six days and a Sunday afternoon, where the market had one evening a week, which matters more as holiday shopping picks up.
The weekend treat splits between Old Ashburn and Bram Quarter
Fall's other openings are dessert shops, and they're in different parts of Ashburn. That pulls the weekend errand away from One Loudoun.
Fleen's Dessert Studio opened in Old Ashburn at 20937 Ashburn Road, Suite 150, the space Bilstad's Beignets left earlier this year. The Burn covered the soft opening, with a preview on September 5 and regular hours starting September 12. Founder and head pastry chef Kathleen Faliskie already ran a custom cake and dessert business before adding the shop. She told The Burn she would offer "dessert charcuterie boxes, brownies, blondies, French macarons, and cakesicles," either to go or to eat in the shop.
Fleen's own site lists studio hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday. The Sunday hours in early press coverage ran an hour later, so go by the site. The holiday side is useful to know before late November. Fleen's says its holiday collections come out in small batches as they're available. Its order policy asks for at least five days' notice on preorders and recommends two weeks for custom cakes. Fleen's also plans cake decorating classes, though its classes page lists dates as coming soon.
Crispy Cones opened at Bram Quarter in Brambleton on September 18, per The Burn. The Local Girl's September roundup lists it at 23710 Schooler Plaza.

Where the calendar picks back up
The outdoor dates stop on November 1, and the next dated events on Ashburn's posted calendars start about three weeks later. They move indoors and toward the holidays, and they spread across the community.
- Friday and Saturday, November 20 and 21, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The 4th Annual Holiday Festival of Trees and Holiday Shopping Village at The Barn at Brambleton, 24439 Evergreen Mills Road. The event listing promises local makers, decorated-tree displays, Santa, entertainment and free parking.
- Saturday, December 5, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Ashburn Village's Santa Stop at the Sports Pavilion, 20585 Ashburn Village Boulevard. Santa is due to arrive by fire truck between 7 and 7:30, and the association's listing says it is free for residents.
- Thursday, December 10, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Ashburn Village's Active Adult Winter Social at The Mills Recreation Center, 43895 Grottoes Drive. Registration is requested by December 3.
One Loudoun has its own holiday tradition. Its tree lighting reached its 13th year in 2025 and took place Saturday, December 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. Its 8th annual Grand Menorah Lighting followed on Sunday, December 14, 2025. The 2026 dates for both haven't been posted on One Loudoun's events page. The calendar is the place to check as December gets closer.
The Festival of Trees takes a holiday shopping stop out to Evergreen Mills Road. Santa Stop and the winter social go to Ashburn Village's own facilities. The gap between November 1 and November 20 is where the new storefronts matter most. For those three weeks, bartaco's late Friday hours, Monkee's on Exchange Street and the Thursday-to-Sunday window at Fleen's are the weekly fixtures that fill in until the holiday calendar starts.
